Supplier Diversity Initiatives

Diverse Suppliers typically encounter barriers that challenge their startup and sustainability efforts, such as access to capital and networking opportunities, and effective supplier diversity strategies can alleviate these pain points.

Our Supplier Diversity Initiative was established to develop procurement opportunities at Harvard Medical School (HMS) for small, disadvantaged, and minority-owned businesses.  It is the goal of HMS to provide all businesses with the maximum number of feasible opportunities to participate in procurement.  HMS is committed to developing and sustaining relationships with a diverse group of suppliers, essential for fostering healthy competition, which, in turn, enables our Procurement Team to obtain the very best goods and services for the Medical School.  We hope you will partner with us as we work to establish lasting partnerships with our growing community of diverse vendors businesses.
